RN Manager Emergency Room - Salem, VA

️ ️ Competitive salary range: $88,504 per year to $120,702, based on experience.

Relocation assistance up to $1,500.

Position: Full-time (No Weekends)

Facility: A leading 500+ bed acute care facility specializing in heart and vascular care, orthopedics, spine care, mental and behavioral health, and cancer care.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated RN Emergency Room Manager to lead our emergency department team. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to patients, managing unit operations, and supporting staff development.

Role and Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations and management of the emergency unit.

Develop, review, and revise unit standards and procedures.

Conduct interviews, hiring, and evaluations of staff performance.

Facilitate orientation for new employees and ensure ongoing staff education and competencies.

Maintain communication with other departments to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.

Requirements:

Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (required), BSN (preferred).

Current RN license in Virginia or multi-state compact RN license.

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required).

ACLS and PALS certification (within 1 year of employment).

Must have significant ER management experience.
