Reports To: Project Controls Manager

Position Summary: Support schedule management for a portfolio projects

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Ongoing support of a large portfolio of project schedules to determine correct critical path is identified. Ensure that true logic is applied to schedules, adequate resource loading done, and that the schedules are regularly updated.

Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule. Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule.

With assistance from Project Field Engineers, provide 3 week Look Ahead schedule to coordinate ongoing manufacturing operations.

Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis. Maintain record of scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.

Analyze and process project change orders for schedule impacts.

Produce schedule in Primavera P6 format. Highlighting the project critical path to appropriately direct the efforts of the project team. Utilize baseline tracking for Master Schedule, ensuring the baseline progress is tracked against this baseline.

Produce detailed critical path network schedules for projects within a standard Work Breakdown Structure. Analyze schedules submitted in various software packages, but primarily Primavera P6.

Develop; monitor and update integrated project plans, Baseline schedules, and Master schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible.

Assess impacts to the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.

Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in developing alternate methods for corrective action.

Analyze schedules from A/E firms and General Contractors. Verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths. Evaluate activity sequences for constructability. Make recommendations to manage float and (re)-sequence activities (if required) to achieve project milestone dates and interim target completion dates.

Work with conceptual estimating department in supporting funding requests with conceptual schedules.

Facilitate project scheduling meetings and/or interactive planning meetings as required by the project team.

Perform Risk Analysis to anticipate conflicts between trades and define levels of uncertainty.

Participate in project meetings at the discretion of the project manager.

Participate in departmental staff meetings.

Comply with departmental scheduling practices and procedures.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum of 5 years' experience with Primavera P6.

Ability to quickly learn new software tools.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills are required.

Any GMP or Pharmaceutical/Biotech project experience is very helpful.

Scheduling experience required during Project Design phase.

Greenfield/Large Cap Construction Projects experience required.

Construction claims experience preferred.

Frequent field visits required during construction.
