Summary Description:
Project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. The Project Manager is the primary customer contact for total job responsibility to execute contract within contract obligations. They will be the central hub on the project coordinating in between the different departments of the local branch.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities for Project Manager
Determine and define project scope and objectives
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
Track project costs in order to meet budget
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
During Project Expectations
Assist in the selection of the necessary subcontractors or employees required ensuring a professional, ethical, and profitable installation which meets contracted and applicable code requirements.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including correspondence sent/ received, meeting minutes, daily reports, submittals, requests and changes, contracts, requisitions, and issues.
Maintain an equipment control log to track the equipment status for the project. Coordinate the equipment release with the District Office to ensure on-time delivery to meet the project schedule.
Prepare and update a project manual containing copies of contracts, change orders, special commitments, addendum's, ship dates, completion dates, and other elements necessary to track & monitor the project.
Attend and participate in weekly construction meeting, documenting progress. Identify and resolve issues affecting the project and inform Operation Manager of actions.
Scheduling Expectations:
Interface with the owner/customer to produce a viable work schedule, ensure the workforce is managed to meet that schedule by developing man- loading requirements for coordinating with the Construction Coordinator and Operation Manager
Schedule and conduct pre-construction and construction meetings with the customer and subcontractor foreman to develop and discuss job strategy.
Consult with local building and wiring inspectors, when necessary. Verify that all required permits have been obtained and appropriate fees have been paid.
Financial Expectations
Determine contract billing, and assist in cash collections to maintain positive cash flow. Prepare project schedule of values with coordination of District Office sales.
Receive and estimate cost and scheduling impact of change orders, and coordinate implementation with customer and appropriate subcontractors.
Maintain all costs, change order activity, and schedules to meet contractual obligations
Interface with the District Office departments to ensure proper systems operation and customer satisfaction.
End of Project Expectation
Schedule and conduct a post-construction meeting to discuss project close-out, review job costs, and discuss items which can be of value to all for future bidding and project installations.

Coordination with Customer – 30%
Maintaining RFI, Change Order, and Material Log – 20%
Maintaining a Construction Schedule for assigned projects – 20%
Creating Monthly Billing Schedule for assigned projects – 10%
Coordination between different departments within the Branch Office – 10%
Other duties as assigned – 10%
Looking for someone who has:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
5-8 years of project management and related experience
Proven ability to solve problems creatively
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
Excellent analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
