Warehouse Associate/Material Handler (1st Shift)

Job Description

Performs general warehouse task that may include receiving, shipping, stocking, issuing, cycle counting and other warehouse related tasks including to but limited to stand up fork lift and pallet jacks machinery.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supports a specific discipline within the warehouse area under general supervision, including pulling for the line, restocking the material locations, maintaining Kan Bans, cycle counting and data entry.

• Verifies inventory integrity by cycle counting with a strong math aptitude.

• Identifies components when necessary.

• Maintains a clean, safe, professional looking warehouse.

• Enters data in ERP/ SAP system accurately.

• Completes various material documentation specific to assigned area.

• Operates inventory equipment such as forklifts and pallets jacks when necessary in a safe manager.

• Process small package via shipping software and required documentation.

Additional Responsibilities

• Supports FIFO (First in/first out) program.

• Maintains bin accuracy by conducting bin audits.

• Assists in training new employees.

• Performs additional duties as may be assigned.

• Assists in researching inventory discrepancies and finding the root caused.

• Skilled in both loading and unloading product into trailers and containers.
