Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Manage the design process including verification, qualification, and characterization of prototypes.

Document the design process, including design reviews, technical documentation, and reporting.

Work with the manufacturing organization to launch and support production.

Conduct research and development for new and existing technology.

Critically think and solve engineering problems related to design, manufacturing and test results Develop component and assembly concepts as well as small tools and fixtures for test and manufacturing.

Develop according to customer specifications.

Provide manufacturing support during production and continuous improvement projects.

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications Must be able to pass ATF clearance.

Bachelor’s degree (preferred Masters) in Mechanical Engineering and/or five years of equivalent experience preferred background in Battery Engineering Must be a hands-on engineering problem solver.

Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Must be team oriented, self-motivated, able to multi-task.

Preferred experience with ASME Y14.5 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and a working knowledge of mechanical and CNC machining
