Description of Work:
This is responsible work performing administrative and clerical duties. Responsibilities include screening and routing incoming telephone calls, responding to inquiries from the court and court users, assisting with scheduling court reporters, preparing routine correspondence and reports, assisting with proofreading, tracking transcription deadlines, maintaining and storing records, and preparing and mailing miscellaneous invoices. The administrative assistant is also responsible for maintaining a comprehensive office filing system, entering data and maintaining all reports. Other duties include E-filing transcripts and court filings, maintaining office supply and equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Manager, Court Reporting Services.
Minimum Training and Experience Required:
Graduation from a standard high school and two years of secretarial and or clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. All applicants must have good communication skills and relate well to the public. Strong word processing and proofreading skills required.
