Chemical R&D Engineer

We are seeking a talented, hands-on R&D chemical/mechanical engineer to contribute to a diverse set of energy and sustainability programs involving such topics as: thermochemical biofuel production, chemical monitoring, air purification, sensor development, wastewater recycling, clean biomass combustion, and gas-to-liquids conversion.

We are interested in applicants at all degree levels with specific experience or interest in, but not limited to, any of the following areas: Design of bench-scale and pilot-scale reactor systems (especially thermochemical conversion processes) Mechanical experience; as would be used in the conception, design and fabrication of custom laboratory apparatus Hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory setting including instrumentation and wet-lab experience Chemical characterization techniques such as gas chromatography and spectroscopy Other areas include PLC and LabView programming, electronic systems assembly, experimental design, and instrumentation Job may also include rotations on product development teams for new chemical-related HVAC/R products We are looking for problem solvers who identify innovative solutions to real world problems; applicants must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in groups Position Requirements PhD in Chemical Engineering Work experience (0 - 5 years) U.S.
