Lead Statistician

Responsibilities:

H-E-B Corporate Planning & Analysis develops and maintains budgets and financial systems while providing current, reliable financial data, analysis, and technical info.

As a Lead Statistician, you'll serve as an expert-level customer analytics leader.

We are looking for:

- a related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience; 10+ years of experience in advanced analytics at a senior / leadership level

Leadership / Analytics:

- Provides thought leadership in advanced analytics throughout assigned functional area(s)

- Oversees advanced analytics components of internal analytical projects

- Leads development and testing of new analytical approaches; facilitates / leads their implementation

- Mentors / develops others

What is your background?

- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience

- 10+ years of experience in an advanced analytics role at a senior / leadership level

- 8+ years of experience using statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, spatial models)

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Lead Statistician?

- Expert knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and advanced analytics techniques (e.g., logistic / linear regression modeling, clustering, sampling, decision trees, spatial modeling)

- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., MicroStrategy)

- Advanced influencing skills

- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office

- Advanced analytical and project management skills

- Advanced verbal / written communication and presentation skills

- Strong organization and time management skills

- Personal leadership skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail

- Ability to work complex issues with senior management
