Business Analyst - Finanical Application Support

They are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support and maintain their financial applications and provide support to end users.

As the Business Systems Analyst within an esteemed financial application support team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our ERP system and associated financial applications. Reporting directly to the supervisor of Financial Applications, you will be an integral part of the dynamic team, focused on business analysis and financial application management.

Your responsibilities include:

Provide frontline support to stakeholders and users on all requests and incidents related to financial applications, serving as a primary point of contact for ERP application support

Perform intricate application configurations and troubleshooting for complex ERP incidents, alongside the development of new features to enhance system functionality

Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the ERP and all financial applications, employing this knowledge to investigate issues, pinpoint root causes, and formulate recommendations for effective resolution.

Engage in proactive communication and collaboration with internal teams and end-users, facilitating the analysis of information and assessment of functional requirements.

Review and execute system configuration to ensure alignment of functional modules and optimization of business processes and performance.

Act as a liaison between finance, operations, technology, and vendors, leveraging your adept relationship-building skills to foster productive partnerships.

Demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset to identify areas for improvement within financial applications and evaluate both new and existing business processes

Gather business requirements from various teams, translate them into system requirements, and drive the configuration and customization processes accordingly.

Serve as the SME for financial application support, presenting findings, and providing support during the audit cycles.

The ideal candidate has kickstarted their journey in accounting and smoothly transitioned into the realm of IT. A minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, coupled with 2 years of IT or application support is required to excel in this role. You will bring forth a robust understanding of core ERP-enabled business cycles, particularly within accounting, accounts payable, and procurement modules. Proficiency with ERP systems like IFS, D365, and SAP is essential. You will leverage your strong analytical skills to decipher customer business needs and effectively translate them into application and operational requirements. The Business Systems Analyst will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, showcasing critical thinking and creativity in tackling challenges head-on. You will thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, exhibiting accountability to meet tight deadlines and deliver exceptional results. The BA will possess exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact and build relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. You are confident to showcase an advanced understanding of Excel and a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving ERP problems with patience and finesse. Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or computer science and prior experience troubleshooting in ERP systems would be highly advantageous.
