Position Overview:

The Training Officer at EASA College of Engineering and Technology plays a vital role in developing and implementing training programs to enhance the technical and soft skills of students. Reporting to the Training and Placement Officer, the Training Officer will collaborate with faculty, industry experts, and students to design, deliver, and evaluate training initiatives that align with industry requirements and student career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development: Collaborate with academic departments, industry partners, and placement cell to identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs for students. Design curriculum, course materials, and training modules focusing on technical skills, soft skills, and employability enhancement.

Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars on topics such as technical skills, communication skills, leadership development, and career readiness. Utilize interactive teaching methods, experiential learning activities, and multimedia resources to engage students and promote active learning.

Industry Collaboration: Establish partnerships with industry organizations, professional associations, and corporate entities to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of training programs. Coordinate guest lectures, industry visits, and internships to provide students with real-world exposure and industry insights.

Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessment tools, quizzes, and assignments to measure student learning outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions. Collect feedback from students, trainers, and industry partners to continuously improve the quality and relevance of training initiatives.

Career Counseling: Provide personalized career counseling, guidance, and mentorship to students to help them identify their career goals, explore job opportunities, and develop career action plans. Assist students in resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.

Placement Support: Collaborate with the Training and Placement Officer to facilitate campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and placement activities. Liaise with employers, recruiters, and HR professionals to promote student placement opportunities and facilitate student-industry interactions.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, assessment results, and student feedback. Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate training outcomes, achievements, and areas for improvement to relevant stakeholders.

Professional Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in training and development. Attend workshops, conferences, and professional development programs to enhance knowledge, skills, and competencies in training management and education pedagogy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E.) and Management (M.B.A.), or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, education, or human resource development, preferably in the technical education sector.

Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, training delivery, and instructional design methodologies.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Proficiency in using technology-enhanced learning tools, multimedia resources, and educational technologies.

Knowledge of career counseling techniques, job search strategies, and employer engagement practices.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
