Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate attorney to join our team in designing, drafting, and implementing estate and elder law plans. The ideal candidate will have outstanding organizational and communication skills, and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Design estate and asset protection strategies for clients in collaboration with managing partner.

Customize and implement estate and asset protection plans for clients, including Medicaid and VA Aid & Attendance benefits applications.

Supervise and coordinate planning department staff, including legal assistants and paralegals.

Act as primary attorney contact for clients, overseeing plan customization, retitling, and benefit application preparation.

Collaborate with attorneys and team members to meet deadlines and respond to inquiries.

Assess prospective clients' needs and determine next steps.

Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Virginia State Bar admission (Maryland and District Bar admission a plus).

2-4 years' experience in estate planning and/or elder law.

Excellent communication skills with clients and team members.

Commitment to quality, critical thinking, and consistent follow-through.

Self-starter with a focus on exceeding expectations.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines.

Diplomacy, discretion, and ability to adapt to changing schedules.

Commitment to effective teamwork and collaboration.
