The Role - Purchasing Assistant
If you are a proactive, super analytical and incredibly detail-oriented Administrative or Purchasing/Buying professional, we need you to join our growing team! You will report directly to the Purchasing Manager, and your primary function will be to perform clerical tasks to support purchasing as well as carrying out some data analysis. In the future, we would like to grow the position to include some buying tasks with increasing scope as competence is demonstrated.
This is a hands-on role; you will be doing all of this yourself. You won’t just be sitting at your desk manipulating spreadsheets; you will also be liaising with the people in the warehouse, helping them with the inventory or doing an inventory check.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
3+ Years of experience in an Administrative, Purchasing, Logistics, OR Supply Chain role
MUST live within commutable distance of Stuart, FL
Bonus Points:
Experience working at a retail or direct-to-consumer business
Experience maintaining relationships with external vendors or contacts
Extra points for experience assisting in a warehouse with 1000+ various SKUs

Core Responsibilities
Verify purchase orders vs invoices for accuracy, e.g., pricing, quantity, discounts with follow-up for corrections
Track incoming purchase orders and alert warehouse and other stakeholders
Vendor delivery issue tracking and resolution
Data analysis
Keep Inbox organized
Document archive management
Liaising with the people in the warehouse
Helping with the inventory
Inventory checks in the warehouse
About You
You have previous experience in a similar role such as an Administrative role, Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Analyst or Procurement Analyst.
Hands-on: Ability to work by yourself.
Analysis: This position involves a ton of analysis; so you need to be skilled in Excel or similar spreadsheets and love doing analysis.
Insane Attention-to-Detail.
Willing to learn: It will probably take a 3 – 6 month journey before you are up to speed so you need to be happy to be trained by the Purchasing Manager.
