Electrical Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, specifications, and studies of electrical systems for ground mount utility-scale solar PV power plants. Additionally, they will ensure that design conforms to AHJ codes/ owner specifications.

Responsibilities

Develop/Evaluate Electrical systems requirements for utility-scale solar PV power plants.

Direct/ Develop electrical layouts using AutoCAD.

Develop electrical studies/calculations using ETAP.

Direct Electrical Designers and Engineers to prepare and revise electrical drawings/calculations.

Participate in 'Page Turn' reviews with construction and project management teams.

Provide construction support during the project execution phase.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

Registered Professional Engineer

Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience

Proficiency with AutoCAD

Ability to perform electrical studies using ETAP software.

Proficiency with application of NFPA 70 (NEC)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with designing solar PV projects.

Experience with electrical utilities.

Ability to obtain out-of-state PE licenses.
