The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management in supporting designated geographic regions or business units. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues.

Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and recommend appropriate actions.

Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes.

Provide support to managers in conducting performance reviews and addressing performance issues.

Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans as needed.

Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.

Manage the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and processing necessary paperwork.

Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.

Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and interview questions.

Coordinate background checks and employment verifications.

Assist in the development and implementation of affirmative action plans.

Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

2-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and performance management.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
