Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to lead our parts department as the Honda Powersports Parts Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in parts management, a deep understanding of Honda Powersports products, and proficiency in inventory management systems, particularly Lightspeed and Honda Interactive Network/IN. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, from inventory control to customer service, to ensure the efficient operation and success of our business.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for all parts and accessories.

Monitor stock levels and reorder parts as necessary to ensure availability.

Utilize inventory management software systems to track and manage stock.

Sales and Customer Service:

Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the right parts and accessories for their powersports vehicles (e.g., motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles).

Provide expert advice and recommendations regarding parts and accessories.

Process customer orders and handle returns or exchanges as needed.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints related to parts.

Team Management:

Supervise and train parts department staff, including parts associates and clerks.

Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient operation of the parts department.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Vendor Relations:

Establish and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and vendors.

Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.

Coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability and special orders.

Financial Management:

Monitor parts department budget and expenses.

Implement strategies to optimize profitability and reduce costs.

Track sales performance and set sales targets for the parts department.

Marketing and Promotions:

Develop marketing strategies to promote parts and accessories sales.

Plan and execute promotions, sales events, and special offers.

Create marketing materials such as catalogs, flyers, and online advertisements.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role within the powersports industry is required.

Strong understanding of powersports vehicles and related parts and accessories.

Managerial Skills:

Leadership abilities with experience in supervising and motivating a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to effectively manage inventory and maintain accurate records.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Customer Focus:

Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships with customers.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with inventory management software systems, specifically with Lightspeed.

Basic knowledge of powersports vehicle mechanics.

Sales and Marketing Acumen:

Ability to drive sales through effective marketing strategies and promotions.

Strong negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and vendors.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

License/Certification:

Driver’s License required.
