Akkodis is seeking an Associate PLC Test Engineer for a 12-month contract position with possible perm conversion with a client located in Durham, NC. You will play a crucial role in the development and validation of devices for the animal health industry. As an independent contributor, you will be involved in test hardware development, creation of new test methodologies, data analysis, and support for existing test designs. This position will interact closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Quality Control. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with other team members specializing in Reliability and Test Engineering. This position will be onsite.

Pay/Salary Range: $33.00 to $40.00 per hour highly dependent on experience

Associate PLC Test Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Support device testing and execution under direction of senior team members.

• Develop test plans for prototype component testing.

• Collected, organize and report upon data collected.

• Support the development of ways to handle data analysis and reporting.

• Develop test protocols and SOPs under direction of a project lead.

• Support maintenance and improvement of data storage and analysis, software, hardware, fixtures, and equipment used in the lab.

• 50% administrative planning and designing tests/ analyzing data. 50 % build and run test in the lab

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Engineering (preferred: Electrical or Biomedical), Data Science, Computer Science.

• One to three years test engineering experience in an electro-mechanical device development environment. **This is not an application or IT software position**

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Strong planning, organizing, and decision-making abilities.

• Education in data analysis techniques (e.g., tests for means/variance, categorical analysis, Gauge R/R) with data analysis tools (JMP, Minitab, Excel, MATLAB, or others).

• Programming skills (Python, Ladder Logic).

• Experience with CAD design (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other software).

• Hands electrical engineering/ HMI exposure required.
