Industrial Engineer

Currently, StaffBright has a great Industrial Engineer opportunity in the Romulus area. We are seeking individuals with 3+ years of relevant experience within the automotive industry.

What You Will Be Doing

Work to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy and other resources that do not generate value.

Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements

Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers

Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. Implementation of tool transfers

Process planning and procurement of assembly equipment (write equipment specifications, obtain quotations, follow-up with suppliers, release and buy off of the assembly equipment at the supplier, install and set up assembly equipment at the manufacturing plant.

May be required to draw up a master schedule to establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecast or customer orders

What We Need From You

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

2+ years of relevant experience within the automotive industry

Experience with production planning

Must have knowledge of electronics

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering

Seat assembly experience is a plus
