Job Title: Senior Polymer Staff Scientist

Responsibilities:

Lead R&D projects for developing polymers, particularly for lithium-ion battery anodes, focusing on silicon.

Act as a subject matter expert, providing leadership in polymer design, synthesis, and testing.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to innovate and develop novel materials for various battery applications.

Conduct physical, analytical, and electrochemical tests to qualify materials for mass manufacturing.

Essential Duties:

Plan and lead resin design and synthesis.

Evaluate resin properties using analytical methods.

Lead invention and scale-up of polymers for anodes.

Analyze data and modify synthesis procedures accordingly.

Collaborate with teams to improve anode technology.

Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Prepare technical documents and patents.

Perform electrochemical tests and prepare cells.

Interact with team, partners, and vendors.

Qualifications Required:

Technical degree (M.S or equivalent, or highly-qualified B.S).

2+ years of industrial experience in polymer science/engineering.

Hands-on experience with lithium-ion batteries.

Knowledge of electrochemistry and analytical chemistry.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
