Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading house looking to hire a Senior Physical Metal Trader to be based in Houston, Texas (or remote work).

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Source and sell physical commodities.

Build and nurture customer and supplier relationships whilst also negotiating logistics and financing with suppliers.

Manage physical and derivative risk positions, including hedging through exchanges such as the LME.

Attend client meetings and industry events (20-40% travel).

Develop commercial proposals considering competition and market dynamics and make informed decisions based on this.

Reports to Commercial Trading Director.

Key Qualifications / Experience

Minimum 5 years physical trading experience; 8 years preferred: Experience in base metals, bulks, solid fuels, minor metals, ferroalloys, or related commodities.

Comfortable with risk and change, decisive in decision-making and preferably with a transferable book of business.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Understanding of the fundamentals of metals trading and hedging

To be located in Houston or work remotely from North America (must have US citizenship)
