Summary:
The Marketing Manager, SEO will be a hands-on owner and lead for Search Engine Optimization, responsible for developing a robust SEO strategy. This position will work closely with cross-functional partners and lead the agency in day-to-day execution across all of The Children’s Place brands.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Lead, develop and manage overall SEO strategy for all of The Children’s Place brands.
Drive SEO agenda focusing on both the technical and content optimization programs, building on current success with keen focus on evolving our program
Work with internal and external teams to increase quality traffic, maximize web site performance and improve search rankings
Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams and demonstrate ability to prioritize accordingly based on ROI impact analysis
Work closely with Digital Marketing leadership, merchants & IT to define/prioritize SEO roadmap initiatives and ensure best practices
Oversee reporting (daily monitoring/weekly performance recaps/ad hoc analysis), communicate performance to business stakeholders and use data to inform strategic decisions
Educate internal teams across the organization on SEO best practices, establish self as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the organization
Keep pulse on the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and monitor competitive pressures
Collaborate with cross-channel partners, specifically SEM, in support of holistic digital strategies
Partner with internal and external agency and analytics teams to manage and report on key KPIs highlighting successes, trends and opportunities. Provide insight on best practices and program enhancements to optimize SEO channel.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
5+ years of experience in digital marketing
Retail or agency experience preferred
Skills and Behaviors:
Solid understanding of eCommerce and high-volume online retail businesses
Strong Knowledge of SEO tools stack: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Optimize, Brightedge, Ahrefs, SemRush, Moz, Majestic and etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be detailed oriented, as well as project and results oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collect data, analyze trends, identify strategic recommendations, and present them in a logical manner
Ability to positively influence and work effectively with cross-functional teams including Creative, IT, Merchandising, and Analytics
Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe/Omniture
Ability to take direction from Digital Director and turn top level strategies into actionable plans
