Engineering Manager Devops

Key Responsibilities

Lead large Tech projects, including the design and deployment of new systems and services;

Monitor and manage cloud (Azure and AWS) and on prem systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the infrastructure.

Help define infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.

Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for infra needs.

Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes;

Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software;

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal tech.

Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy;

Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.

Work in managing the hardware infrastructure and networking including but not limited to Router, WAN, Firewall, IPSec Tunnels

Excellent tech infra, networking, firewall and hardware knowledge

Communication, leadership and management skills

Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously

Proven track record of maintaining tech structural integrity

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 6-8 years of experience working in tech operations.

• Experience leading and managing large tech projects and rolling out tech infrastructures across various technologies.

• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

• Excellent project management skills and a strong ability to prioritize.

• A firm grasp on tech infrastructure and operations best practices.
