Job Title: Sales Director

The Sales Director is responsible for the activities of the Territory Sales Managers of assigned locations. Responsible to build and encourage sales team, empowering them to succeed in establishing and maintaining customer base while continuously monitoring and evaluating progress toward achieving objectives and goals.

Responsibilities:

Manages the sales team for Bobcat Machinery sales in Washington and Hayden, Idaho areas (11 sales team members). Oversees local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns. Trains and updates staff.

Pushes the sales team to make consistent effort in obtaining new customers, including cold calling techniques.

Provides mentorship to sales team and actively works with the team in the field.

Creates systems and policies to limit the amount of approvals and requests the sales team needs from management.

Tracks and relays sales information to the Executive Leadership Team including trends and makes suggestions for improvements.

Generates leads to divide amongst sales staff. Motivates teams to meet revenue forecasts and customer needs.

Creates a system to measure both results and efforts of all sales team members.

Serves as the main sales representative of the Bobcat organization to internal and external partners. Resolves customer issues when needed.

Create sales strategy with the assistance of Bobcat Corporate personnel.

Develops and maintains relationships with key clients.

Identifies emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.

Prepares sales budgets and projections, approves expenditures.

Considers updates and developments to ensure ongoing efficiencies and development of the department.

Other duties as assigned.

Engaged leader with experience planning, directing, coordinating, leading, facilitating, teaching, coaching, supervising and evaluating employees.

Excellent customer service and sales skills.

Maintains positive working relationships with internal and external departments and customers.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to multitask.

Team player, ability to take direction, and positive attitude.

Education and/or Experience:

Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively.

5+ years’ experience within equipment sales or related field.

Advanced time management skills.

Knowledge or experience with construction equipment sales or rental industry.
