Sanitation Supervisor This role is responsible for the daily operations of the Sanitation Department, including management of the Sanitation Team in a fast-paced 24hr, 7 day a week manufacturing environment.

Leads Sanitation Programs.

Reports directly to the Central QA Manager.

Key Responsibilities Actively lead sanitation processes to ensure all cleaning requirements meet or exceed established standards Actively engage/train production operators and technicians to ensure sanitation compliance and overall continuous improvement Assist management as a technical liaison between sanitation and other departments Develop, implement, and maintain MSS/MSCS including documentation and verification of the programs Develop, implement, and maintain documentation for daily, weekly, monthly, and shut down activities Direct Sanitation Team to achieve daily goals and provide feedback to the team.

This includes the management of staff (hiring, discipline, payroll, performance appraisal, providing feedback on a regular basis, scheduling and training and development of personnel) Conduct routine facility inspections related to Pest Control and other Food Safety aspects.

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible to summarize, report and ultimately address any findings Work closely with Quality Team on plant internal audit and inspection programs Lead Sanitation department in absence of QA Manager Implement and maintain vendor managed cleaning supply program Review, prepare, and implement technical documents, method development, procedures, and work instructions Participate and lead problem solving teams, conduct root cause analysis, apply corrective and preventative actions and implement process improvements as needed Oversee the Pest Management system including all vendor contact to ensure standards are maintained.

This includes vendor and/or application of restricted-use fumigants and pesticides, purchase, function, and maintenance of PPE including monitoring devices for fumigants When needed, this position will be expected to perform activities typical of a Certified Applicator, such as fumigation of silos, tarped product, product in trailers, and facility space fumigations and pesticide applications Responsible for creating, issuing, and revising documentation related to Pest Control activities (usage logs, fumigation management plans, monitoring logs) and for reviewing completion of this documentation on a daily basis.

This includes tracking the information of these documents in an electronic database such as Excel.

Schedule and conduct classroom and hands-on training of Certified Applicators, Fumigation Helpers and other Riviana employees (both permanent and temporary) on Safety, Food Safety, and Pest Identification.

Identify when refresher training is needed.

Make recommendations to Plant Management for pest control issues and the pest control program Education College degree preferred - BS Food Science, Biology, Chemistry High school diploma/GED required, with equivalent related experience Experience 5 years of sanitation experience in the food industry with at least two years of supervisory experience required Tennessee Licensed Pest Control Operator - C07, FUM preferred Other Key Requirements Technical and managerial skills to perform in area of specialty Understands and able to troubleshoot all activity, systems, and processes under supervision Understands business of the company Models Lean manufacturing principles Perform effective problem solving and team building Ability to read, write and comprehend written and spoken English Ability to effectively prepare and interpret written communications and reports Able to apply general math principles including ratios and basic statistics Ability to understand and use all company software applications and automated systems Meet requirements of SQF Practitioner Care and use of required onsite facility personal protection equipment Able to respond to emergency call outs Riviana Foods Inc.
