Fleet Mechanic Journeyman

Physical requirements.

- Ascend/descend stairs, ladders and elevated walkways.

- Ability to lift 50lbs (one person) and 80lbs (two person). - Walk, stand, and stoop for extended periods of time.

FLEET EQUIPMENT MECHANIC Performance Requirements.

- Assess vehicles and equipment to accurately diagnose needed repairs.

- Perform needed repairs associated with different vehicles and equipment.

- Perform routine service and inspections.

- Daily, document time and service/maintenance performed.

- Keep work area/shop clean and organized.

- Wear required PPE specific to different locations on plant site.

- Must obtain a high school diploma or GED.

Fleet equipment.

- Equipment description but not limited to: Forklifts, half to one-ton trucks, vans, aerial equipment, generators, utility carts and snow removal equipment.
