Position Highlights:

• Position: Clinical Coordinator, LDRP

• Location: Highland Park Hospital

• Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time (36 hrs wk)

• Hours: Night shift 1900-0730 and 2300-0730

• Required Travel: N/A

What you will need:

License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL preferred.

Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing required from an accredited nursing school. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or other health related field preferred

Certification: CPR Card

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an appropriate clinical setting required, proven leadership skills. Must have mother baby and labor and delivery experience

Skills: Leadership, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Must demonstrate competency in care of all patient age groups specific to unit/specialty. Competencies are unit/specialty specific.

What you will do:

The Clinical Coordinator has accountability for the outcomes of care for patients in their specific clinical care area. The Coordinator guides and directs a group of nurse led patient care teams in providing high quality, individualized care to the patient and family, preparing them for discharge to home or other level of care. The responsibilities include the following:

Acts as role model for clinical excellence for all members of the clinical care delivery team.

Guides staff development by teaching, mentoring and counseling with new and experienced staff, for both clinical and customer loyalty skills

Takes lead on clinical performance improvement management.

Works with patients and families to assure satisfaction with care and problem resolution as needed

Communicates and collaborates with managing physicians, house staff, mid-level practitioners, nursing and other health care team members to achieve desired outcomes for the plan of care and for discharge

Determines staffing based on patient acuity and workflow

Assumes direct patient care responsibility, as needed, based on acuity and changes in patient condition and workflow
