Salary:
Telegraph is seeking a Senior Web Designer to bring creative visions to life through design. You’ll tackle everything from high-level brand concepting and ideation to daily execution on client deliverables, all while demonstrating an understanding of and attention to the clients’ needs and goals. You will take initiative to continuously evolve and stay ahead of the ever-changing digital landscape and trends. This position requires that you work collaboratively across all departments to concept, design, audit and troubleshoot creative for all existing and emerging platforms, including digital and traditional media. You will be required to understand our clients’ brands and ensure all designs adhere to their brand guidelines while injecting brand personality with a user-centered design approach. You have familiarity with programming languages, such as HTML and CSS, to design mockups, wireframes and digital displays.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Develop creative concepts that reflect strategy and are appropriate for the brand's personality
Ensure that ideas/designs are produced timely, on budget and with the degree of quality promised to the client
Execute across a variety of formats/channels, including brand identity and digital platforms such as social media, email, display and web
Balance design with usability and functionality for the ultimate user experience and engagement
Deliver presentations to senior creative personnel and/or clients
Remain current on industry trends, best practices, and the changing landscape of social media and digital marketing
Qualifications:
3-5 years of ad agency experience or related work experience/training preferred
Degree(s) in advertising, communications, graphic/digital design, or a degree from a portfolio school are encouraged but not required
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. After Effects or other motion graphics/animation experience is a plus
Solid understanding of typography, photography, illustration, editing, transfer and videography
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and/or other visual design and wire-framing tools
Competency in HTML5 and CSS languages to build and test responsive web, email and banner designs, across devices and platforms
Knowledgeable in UI/UX design
A respect for deadlines and budgets
A desire to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain detailed-oriented while working closely with a dev team in a fast-paced environment
