Responsible for ensuring equipment up-time by Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all equipment failures. Works directly with machine operators and manufacturing supervisors to resolve mechanical issues that arise during the shift.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/ hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.

Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors and other equipment at the facility as required.

Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate the equipment. Maintain industrial control system.

Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safe.

Create and report repairs at end of the shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.

Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Repair and maintain facilities and production equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment required to maintain a positive and productive workplace.

Perform set-up, start-up, shutdowns, maintenance repairs and PMs on production equipment.

Uses a wide variety of machine tools and equipment.Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric machine controls.

Troubleshooting skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to follow instructions.

Two years of manufacturing maintenance experience

Work Environment/Physical Activity Requirements

May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling

Ability to lift 50 pounds a minimum of ten times per day and lift 50 pounds over shoulder height occasionally

Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance
