Job Title: Refrigeration Service Technician

Overview: Comfort Systems USA Temp Right Service is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems and equipment. This position requires a thorough understanding of refrigeration principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Refrigeration Service Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of refrigeration systems for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of refrigeration systems to identify potential issues.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of refrigeration equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and controls.

Repair or replace defective components, such as valves, thermostats, motors, and electrical wiring.

Perform leak detection and repair tasks to prevent refrigerant leaks and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Install new refrigeration systems, including piping, insulation, and electrical connections, according to specifications and safety standards.

Test and calibrate refrigeration systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.

Document all service and maintenance activities accurately, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.

Provide technical support and guidance to clients on the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in refrigeration and HVAC systems required.

Proven experience as a refrigeration technician or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, including thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigerant properties.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various types of refrigeration systems, including commercial and industrial refrigeration units.

Familiarity with refrigeration tools and equipment, such as manifold gauges, leak detectors, and refrigerant recovery units.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
