Job Title: Seasonal Maintenance Worker
FLSA Status: Non -Exempt
General Description of Work: Performs general labor and maintenance to all City
owned parks, grounds, buildings, streets, roads, and storm sewers.
Supervision Received: Receives direct supervision from the Service Director
and/or Parks & Recreation Director and/or assigned designee
Schedule: Regular business hours, and evenings and weekends as needed or directed.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must be at least 16 years of age, have experience in the above listed examples of job functions/general description of work, and have the physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
Preferred Certifications and/or Licenses:
Valid Ohio Drivers' License.
Essential Functions:
Landscaping tasks such as push-mowing, raking, weeding, edging, and line- trimming
Assist with minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and irrigation repairs as
Safely operate hand tools and assigned power
Safely use chemicals, paint products, solvents,
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the public, supervisors, and other City staff.
Ability to complete assigned tasks or projects in a timely
Ability to work independently or as a part of a

Work Environment:
Normal operations of the department require working under emergency situations, noisy conditions, exposure to dust and pollutants, exposure to noxious fumes and toxins, working in unsanitary, hazardous, or confined spaces (if trained), heavy lifting, and working outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures. Personal protective equipment is provided by the City.
