POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner provides clinical care to patients through an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that takes into consideration all aspects of health. The Nurse Practitioner performs a variety of advanced clinical duties involved in assessing, treating, controlling, and preventing patient illness and disease within the assigned public health nursing program; to perform physical examinations; identify patients with physical and emotional illness; and to administer medications as prescribed.

What you will be doing

Evaluate patient, review medical history, and perform an appropriate physical exam in a medical office setting.

Interpret and evaluate patient data as authorized by the physician for the purpose of determining the management and treatment of patients. Assess and diagnose urological conditions. Consult with a physician as appropriate.

Prescribe, recommend, and regulate appropriate pharmacologic medicine.

Maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Document appropriately and communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested.

What you will bring to the team

Current NP or PA-C license, Master's Degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant program

Current BLS and CPR certification

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a gastroenterology setting

Knowledge of ERM systems
