Service Bay Shop Helper

Job Description

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Shop Manager, the Shop Assistant will aide in all areas of the auto repair shop to help ensure the highest level of service is provided to all customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Shop upkeep – Cleaning and organizing service areas and equipment

Must have valid California Driver License and clean driving record

Running shop errands (i.e. picking up parts from local vendors)

Uphold professionalism by providing courteous customer service to visitors, clients, and vendors.

Assisting mechanics

Assisting with other tasks as needed

Skill Set

Experience in an auto repair environment is preferred

General knowledge of tools and related equipment

Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to work in an environment with varying noise levels

Must be able to lift up to 100lbs

Must have the ability to Stand, Walk, Stoop, and kneel during working hours
