Developer II

The Cognos Developer will have responsibility for the development, testing, and deployment of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards in support of the RealPage Unified Reporting Platform (URP) product suite. Responsibilities include active engagement and coordination with the U.S. and India Cognos BI development team as well as support of any Cognos technical questions or issues as they arise. The successful candidate will work closely with other BI Developers and Quality Analysts to ensure the business requirements for reporting are met or exceeded.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO

Demonstrated technical knowledge of Cognos Report Studio and Cognos Business Insight ( 11.x and above preferred)

Development and testing of Business Intelligence reports using the Cognos BI suite

Ensure the Business Intelligence Reports that are deployed meet or exceed the documented business requirements

Regular communications with management to communicate status on reports and testing

Assist in technical documentation of all reports created for the RealPage URP suite

Ensure that BI standards, templates, and processes are being followed in the development and testing of reports

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

College degree preferred equivalent experience may be accepted

Ability to perform in a team environment

Good communication skills

5-7 years strong technology implementation experience with at least three years in multiple full lifecycle BI/DW implementations

2 years demonstrated experience in complex application development projects involving Cognos (Report Studio, Business Insight Advanced, Business Insight, multi-dimensional Power Cubes) and Microsoft SQL RDBMS on Windows.

Moderate knowledge of SQL is expected.

Analytics application experience such as Sales, Marketing, Financial, CRM or Other is a plus

Atleast 5 years experience in the multi-family real estate industry is a plus

Experience in other Reporting tool such as SSRS (2016), PowerBI etc..
