A Technical Lead in Engineering Automation plays a crucial role in managing a team of engineers and specialists focused on developing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions for various engineering processes.

Job Description

Seek a highly-skilled Technical Lead with a proven track record in engineering automation to oversee our team in developing and implementing automated solutions for our engineering processes. The successful candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for driving innovation through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical direction and guidance to a team of engineers and specialists.

Oversee the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions.

Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with stakeholders to define automation goals and objectives.

Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.

Solution Architecture:

Lead the design and architecture of automated systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools for automation projects.

Development and Implementation:

Hands-on involvement in coding, scripting, and configuring automation solutions.

Ensure timely and successful delivery of automation projects.

Process Optimization:

Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains through automation.

Streamline existing engineering workflows and procedures.

Team Development:

Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and achievements.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Maintain thorough documentation of automation solutions, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting steps.

Promote knowledge sharing within the team and the broader organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) with 15+ years of experience in engineering automation or related roles.

Hand on experience with the following

Forge API

Autodesk AutoCAD API

Autodesk Revit API

Autodesk Navisworks API

Autodesk Inventor API

Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D API

Tekla API

Microstation API

Strong understanding of .net,C#, SQL

Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing projects.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
