Design Engineer

Minimum 3 years of Design Experience

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer to fill an opening with a Construction Company located in Metro Detroit. Must have experience with REVIT; a background in Construction Modeling and Virtual Design is ideal.

Requirements of the Design Engineer

Must have Revit experience in order to qualify for this role.

2-5 years of proven proficiency and experience in Revit 2020 required.

2-3 years minimum experience with an electrical contratingc company (preferred) and/or Architectural/Engineering firm required.

AutoCAD 2020, Navisworks 2020 and Bluebeam 2020 experience a plus.

Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Revit preferred.

Experience in laser scanning of facilities desirable, but not required.

Knowledge of data entry into Trimble robotics layout station is a plus.

Trimble laser scanning knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer

Perform VDC / BIM Coordination with other disciplines.

3D Modeling in REVIT with 2D extractions in REVIT to paper.

Prepare detailed system layouts for power, lighting and control systems including all views and dimensions to support fabrication and installation.

Work in conjunction with the electrical foreman, project manager, electrical engineer, and other disciplines to create drawings and models for construction coordination and installation.
