Welder Fabricator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Welder to join our team! As a Welder at Mayhem Metalz you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals at our facility. You will be working with MIG and Stick welding equipment to put together Commercial, Industrial, and Residential fabrications.

Welder Duties and Responsibilities:

Read blueprints and drawings

Take and read measurements

Always follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency

Weld components using Stick or MIG welding equipment

Repair machinery

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or machinery to be used

Set up components for welding

Align components using tape measures, rulers, etc.

Report damages on machines and equipment

Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Welder requirements and qualifications:

18+ years old

Professional Certification AWS Welding Certificate D1.1 1G minimum

1 year of experience as Welder

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

Good knowledge of and adherence with safety standards

Attention to detail

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Team player

The ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Good time-management skills

Great interpersonal and communication skills

Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required

Ability to operate independently

Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
