Job Description

As a Dental Front Office Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the front desk operations for WCD. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the dental practice by providing exceptional customer service to patients, coordinating appointments, managing patient records, and handling various administrative tasks. Your primary objective will be to create a positive and welcoming environment for patients while supporting the dental team and ensuring efficient office operations.

Patient Reception and Customer Service:

Greet patients warmly and ensure a friendly and professional atmosphere in the reception area.

Register new patients, collect necessary information, and update patient records.

Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the dental office's appointment system.

Respond to patient inquiries, address concerns, and provide accurate information about dental procedures, fees, and insurance coverage.

Coordinate with patients and other dental professionals to schedule referrals, consultations, and follow-up appointments.

Administrative Tasks:

Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Verify insurance coverage, process insurance claims, and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries.

Handle billing and payment collection, including explaining fees, discussing payment options, and processing payments.

Maintain inventory of office and dental supplies, place orders, and ensure adequate stock levels.

Assist with general office duties, such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, treatment plans and managing correspondence.

Office Coordination:

Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care.

Coordinate laboratory work, including tracking case statuses and communicating with dental laboratories.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the reception area, waiting room, and front office.

Assist with marketing and promotional activities, such as scheduling recall appointments and managing patient reminders.

Job Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Some previous work-related experience
