Machine Operator/Laborer

Job Description

We are looking for a Machine Operator/Laborer to join our team! As a Machine Operator/Laborer at Mayhem Metalz you will be responsible for using a variety of hand tools and machinery to process metals at our facility. You will be working with/operating grinders, drills, bandsaws, ironworkers, overhead cranes, paint sprayers, and other equipment to help put together Commercial, Industrial, and Residential fabrications.

Laborer Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow directions and procedures

Read cut sheets

Take and read measurements

Assist other workers in the shop

Operate hand and power tools

Operate machinery

Load and unload trucks and trailers

Report damages on machines and equipment

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

General Shop Improvement and Maintenance Tasks

Laborer requirements and qualifications:

18+ years old

Basic understanding of hand and power tools

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

Good knowledge of and adherence with safety standards

Attention to detail

Team player

The ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Ability to operate independently

Ability to communicate with others

Organizational skills

Time management skills
