The Supply Chain / Warehouse Manager will initially join the core project team responsible for the new Florence, SC plant launch. This role will be responsible for helping to develop the process standards and related training for establishing the warehouse. After the production launch, the main function of the position will be transitioned to managing the operations supporting lithium-ion battery production by leading a team of logistics associates and material handlers in a manner that facilitates the strategic use of company resources. This position will have oversight of dock operations, trailer lot audits, systematic material movements, shipment of customer orders, receipt of incoming trailers and tracking/ordering packaging material needed to support customer shipments. This role will be involved in arranging logistics and creating shipping paperwork for customer orders, component part returnable containers, and any other items that need to be shipped from the facility. Establishing a warehouse and strategy to ensure optimum product flow and storage of materials.

Ensuring safety is always the number one priority: promoting a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines.

Managing departmental budgeting, planning, and approval processes; tracking actual spending to budget.

Managing all shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

Managing inventory levels; ensuring production availability, adherence to budget, and reporting accuracy.

Monitoring, analyzing, and making improvements based on daily tracked Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Maintaining a favorable working relationship with all employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment; monitoring safety performance and facilitating implementation of action to improve safety performance.

Oversees staff in the systematic and manual processing of component and finished good material movements/warehousing, transition of components from the warehouse to the production floor, auditing/management of the trailer yard, arrangement of logistics for empty container returns, customer orders (domestic & foreign), dunnage, etc.

Maintains compliance with 5S, IATF16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO14001 standards, while proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns to prevent accidents.What You Need

Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

Five or more years of supervisory experience, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training, contributing to staff development. Supervised subordinates or contractors with differentiated roles and functions

Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use logistics software to input data and research parts.

Is knowledgeable of the material flow through an industrial manufacturing facility and is skilled in logistics arrangements (incoterms, coordinating movements, etc.)

Expert understanding of principles, concepts, practices and standards related to supply and logistics system information management.

Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with internal and external contacts.

Experience working to improve all logistical aspects of the supply chain by streamlining processes.What is “Nice to Have”?

Supply Chain Management Certification is preferred.

Proficiency with Supply Chain Management software and enterprise resource planning application experience, such as SAP, is preferred.

Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience supporting the supply chain function in a manufacturing environment or warehouse.

Familiar with the functions and controls of a Warehouse Management System.

Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous, as it aligns with our global operations and enhances communication with diverse stakeholders.

Previous experience working in cross-cultural environments, or a demonstrated understanding of cultural nuances would be beneficial, given our global presence and diverse team.What We Offer
