Director of EHS

We have been retained by a premier chemical company to fill their Director of EHS position. This position will lead and manage the EHS function and build the team to carry out the duties related to the management of EHS and provide technical support to multiple plants in both the US and Canada. Required education, skills and experience:

-Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or directly related EHS discipline.

-7+ years' experience leading a multi-site environmental and safety program in manufacturing.

-Thorough knowledge and understanding of all OHSA/EPA/DOT regulations.

-Hazardous waste experience preferred.

-Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

-Available to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities and scope of position:

-Will lead and directly manage field EHS personnel.

-Will direct management in compliance and support programs such as ISO 9001, and corporate initiatives related to EHS

-Will bring conformity to EHS for all locations regarding permits, regulatory requirements, and internal policies/practices.
