Overview:

Pay Transparency: $22.50 - $32.00 hourly based on experience and credentials

Location Type: Remote

Position Type: Full Time

The AML (Anti Money Laundering) Analyst investigates suspicious activity on members’ accounts in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Patriot Act. This individual plays a critical role in protecting Suncoast Credit Union from legal, regulatory, and reputation risks. An ideal candidate is a highly motivated, collaborative, independent individual with excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

Investigate suspicious activity to protect the credit union from internal and external criminal activity, primarily focusing on Money Laundering, Patriot Act, and Bank Secrecy Act concerns

Ensure Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCen) regulations are followed

Conduct case management and data analysis for automated monitoring systems, referrals, reports, and workflows

Complete written analyses and investigative summary reports

Compile documentation and evidence, maintain accurate investigative notes, and create referrals for prosecution

Coordinate and prepare documentation for law enforcement

Complete accurate Suspicious Activity Reports in a prompt manner

Maintain a current understanding of the USA Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other related laws or regulations

Attend job-specific training classes as requested by the manager

Complete annual BSA/AML compliance training and understand employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.)

1+ years of experience with a financial institution; preferably in the areas of BSA, AML, or fraud investigation

Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) certification preferred or ability to obtain within first year of employment

Ability to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines

Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management

Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators

Ability to analyze and resolve routine problems and situations
