REMOTE BI Analyst / Developer

Location: Remote (Texas, Denver, or Chicago preferable)

Rate: 60-70 / hr on w-2 (No C2C)

Are you a seasoned Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer looking for a collaborative and dynamic role? Join our agile team to plan, design, and develop innovative Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that drive actionable insights for our business. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate effective relationships with various departments to coordinate and interface on BI initiatives.

Gather and document functional and technical requirements, translating them into actionable reporting solutions, analytic tools, and dashboards.

Gain deep understanding of data structures and business operations to provide effective BI solutions.

Identify data gaps and contribute to enhancements in data collection and metadata.

Develop data, reporting, and BI solutions using existing platforms.

Adhere to team standards, best practices, and policies.

Support availability and performance optimization of developed BI applications.

Write high-quality code for data retrieval, analysis, and presentation.

Collaborate with testing teams to ensure accuracy and quality of BI applications.

Basic Qualifications:

Advanced experience in developing business-focused automated reports using BI tools and SQL data objects.

Proficiency with Data Warehouse technologies (e.g., Microsoft SSIS, SQL, ETL, OLAP).

Expertise in BI tools such as Dundas BI, Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, etc.

Strong SQL development skills, including stored procedures, views, and data querying.

Front-end and back-end dashboard development experience.

Familiarity with DAX for optimizing calculations and measures.

Experience optimizing storage and performance in dashboard data models.

Proficient in data migration between databases and troubleshooting report/data issues.

Understanding of fact/dimension data modeling and data transformation processes.

Exposure to data extraction from enterprise-level systems (e.g., CRMs, HRIS, ERP).

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of data migration to Azure and familiarity with Databricks and delta lake concepts.

Experience with PL/SQL in Oracle environments and web development.

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python, and Powershell scripting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience working independently and collaboratively in global teams.

Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

Exposure to Microsoft Azure technologies, SSAS, and REST APIs.
