Job Summary:

Real Chemistry is looking for a Medical Strategist to join our growing team!

Do you revel in translating complex science into an emotive and tangible narrative – bringing the ‘so what’ to diverse audiences? Are you naturally curious and enjoy outside of the box thinking and co-creation? If this sounds like you and you’re interested to explore your next career move into Strategic Medical Communications then could be the role for you..

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and help build the Real Chemistry International strategic medical capabilities. As a member of our Medical Strategy Team you will blend your scientific expertise with strategic know-how and commercial savviness.

You understand the clinical treatment landscape and anticipated evolution and use core consultancy skills to support clients with their decision-making at key milestones throughout the product lifecycle; from helping our clients define where their brands can have the greatest impact for patients through to shaping and executing an innovative strategy that delivers on their vision.

You are able to look beyond complex scientific data, dissect perspectives, beliefs and behaviours and understand the challenges to elucidate insights, ideate options and design innovative solutions that address the strategic direction of our clients’ brand and realise the value creation for diverse stakeholders. You have a flair for translating the science into an emotive, credible and patient centric narrative that resonates with the diverse motives and interests of different stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is able to encompass both the rationale and emotional mindset, drive curiosity and is not afraid to think beyond the outside of the box – beyond the lines on the graph to bring the ‘so what’ to the science. This person will act as a strategic partner for the senior Real Chemistry team and our clients ensuring a clear ‘red thread’ running through all initiatives and elevating back up to the clients’ strategy and goals.

We proud to work with our clients as partners rather than service providers, across the product lifecycle, including strategic and tactical planning of inline and pipeline assets, pivotal data-readouts, evidence generation plans, medical education and training, workshop development and facilitation and thought leadership to name a few initiatives.

Our clients include Medical Affairs, Commercial and Clinical Development across Global, Regional and UK teams. The main therapy areas we are working across currently include oncology, dermatology, rare diseases, respiratory medicine and CNS disorders, and regular new business wins will almost certainly provide an opportunity to work in other areas.

What you’ll do:

Proactively drive innovation and creativity in Medical Education by bringing new perspectives that inspire creative and critical thinking and new ideas.

Understanding and distil the scope, client interests and desired output to set the direction on how a project is shaped and delivered scientifically to elevate the narrative above the competition and tailored to diverse audiences.

Undertake research into medicines, therapeutic landscape, and competitive environment, providing input on how a brand’s scientific evidence-base can shape the communication and strategic direction.

Work closely with Strategy Director and Senior Writing/Accounts team to ensure critical thinking, direction is informed by insights and alignment with the clients’ strategy.

Provide guidance to Medical Writers, Account and Creative teams on scientific understanding, accuracy and compliance on relevant brands and harmonisation of scientific substance and customer insight, including review and provision of feedback on creative content

Through identification of scientific insights, works with the Medical Writer to help develop and guide strategic direction and scientific content/messaging on brands

Partner with account teams to plot the course of the brand and client relationship, in particular live meetings and key milestones

In collaboration with the Senior Team, proactively cascade product and disease area information to relevant clients and team members throughout the year

Support clients in strategic and tactical planning process to align with an evolving landscape disrupted by technology

Cultivate strong client relationships, acting as the strategic partner and identify opportunities for exponential growth by understanding their interests and those of their cross-functional stakeholders

Understand and contribute to new project scoping, approach/project design, timelines & scheduling for delivery

Act as the scientific expert to support new business by performing research, in partnership with Analytics, planning and crafting of the pitch narrative to drive growth for the agency

This position is a perfect fit for you if:

Our Company values – Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always and Accountability with an “I” – really speak to you.

You are adaptable, resilient, and OK with adjusting your scope, responsibilities, and focus as we grow. When things change, so do we. We’re always evolving.

You are proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data.

You are highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines.

What you should have:
