Saskatchewan Air Ambulance is the oldest non-military air ambulance service in North America and currently transports more than 1,500 Saskatchewan residents per year to a higher level of care. Air Ambulance provides 24/7 emergency medical air evacuation services to provincial destinations in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR's) and Government of Saskatchewan policies. The Opportunity

Saskatchewan Air Ambulance has a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an M1 rating located in Saskatoon, SK. This position will involve line and heavy maintenance during normal business hours and will involve rotational evening and weekend on-call duties.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, in this challenging and rewarding position, your responsibilities will include:

Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and ACA certification of all maintenance activities on company King Air B200 ambulance aircraft as detailed in the company Maintenance Policy Manual.

Timely and accurate completion of all required documentation of maintenance, Safety Management System reports and any other required documentation to identify possible hazards, operational and/or safety concerns or issues.

Participating in all-weather ramp activities including, but not limited to, aircraft towing and ground runs.

Maintaining shop, tools and equipment necessary for aircraft maintenance.

Ideal Candidate

As the successful candidate, you will be a thorough, reliable and detail-oriented individual who has:

Knowledge and understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations.

Knowledge of multi-engine turboprop pressurized aircraft including modern avionics and systems, environmental, structural inspection/repair, and electrical systems.

Recent experience conducting scheduled inspections, diagnosing equipment and aircraft problems, conducting necessary repairs and maintenance of aircraft and equipment.

The ability to accurately apply standard safety precautions and practices according to established protocols, safety guidelines and existing legislation.

The ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Ability to lift objects up to 45kg.

To qualify for this position, you are required to possess a valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's license with an M1 rating issued by the Ministry of Transport Canada, with recent, and related experience on multi-engine turboprop aircraft. Experience with Beechcraft King Air B200 aircraft and Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine maintenance is an asset. Previous Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) on type is an asset, as is previous training and experience on powered mobile equipment including forklift, scissor lift, and aircraft towing. Documented structures or avionics training and experience, or an ā€˜Sā€™ or 'E' rating would also be an asset.
