Job Overview:

SmartChoice is seeking a diligent, motivated, and enthusiastic Manager of Project Management to manage the implementation, scaling and overall progress of our Project Management department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all designated projects according to project level scoping and schedules, ensuring deliverables across the entire integrated project team. The position will involve collaboration with multiple stakeholders including project teams and senior management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new Project Management staff.

Oversees the daily workflow of the Project Management Teams.

Handles all procedural/HR related items and timesheets for Project Managers.

Handles all discipline and terminations of direct employees in accordance with company policy.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

You will be responsible for…

Assist in the development of all project plans to scale, monitor and report progress, identify risks and mitigation strategies.

Lead internal project meetings with integrated project team and manage all project contributors, to review the status of each job and implement activity necessary to ensure timely project completion.

Ensure scope is advanced according to project plan and issues/conflicts are resolved promptly. This includes working cooperatively with all operational and functional teams in network to integrate and administer all activities to ensure satisfactory project outcomes.

Independently create and deploy PowerBI reports and Smartsheet schedules for project status updates with meaningful data summaries and predictive visualizations.

Provide regular updates to cross-functional partners and leadership to ensure adherence to project plan.

Produces weekly, monthly, and quarterly trend and activity reports as well as other operational and management reports. Ensures that reports are produced per scheduled timelines for review by functional management teams.

Responsible for ensuring all project timeframes are managed to the approved forecasts and any deviations therefrom are communicated and approved as soon as discovered.

Work with the peer teams across IPM and OS&I to ensure effective handoff practices throughout the project delivery process.

Lead teams through Process assessments and Process improvement and design activities.

Responsible for all Process documentation and governance.

What education & experience you’ll bring...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

6+ years Voice/Data Network specific experience

5+ years of technician or electronics / network implementation experience

Working knowledge of LAN/WAN and data networks; Voice over IP principles and PBX functionality (Asterisk, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Dialer, ICM, Cisco Presence. SIP, SCCP, H.323, etc.)

Understanding and experience in Telecommunication (Telecom) infrastructure and user-facing applications

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
