Summary

The position is responsible for developing new referral relationships as well as maintaining and growing existing relationships to increase sales. The Home Healthcare Sales Agent will have a strong presence in the community, particularly in the health care and senior care, actively promoting the Platinum Seniors Care brand to physicians, hospitals, healthcare providers, case managers, skilled nursing facilities/rehabs, independent living facilities, assisted living communities, geriatric care managers as well as other potential referral sources. The ideal candidate will be professional, well-spoken and at ease in presenting to both professional as well as community audiences. Daily activities will include face-to-face marketing visits, community-based demonstrations and presenting professional in-services. It is expected that the Home Healthcare Sales Agent will be in the field position 90% of the time.

Specific Position Requirements

Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources.

Become a senior care information resource to both potential clients and referral sources.

Visit targeted referral sources using a territory call cycle that has been developed and is constantly updated based upon market analysis and quarterly sales plans.

Meet with clients and/or family members to explain services.

Utilize pre- and post-call planning to maximize account penetration.

Follow territory cycle to maintain a high referral source call average per week.

Practice exceptional organization, presentation, communication, and follow-up skills.

Respond to client inquiries within an hour of the inquiry.

Remain prepared to share a positioning statement that effectively communicates the benefit of working with Platinum Seniors Care.

Report sales activity using required technology daily (email, Outlook, ClearCare or any other CRM).

Meet and/or exceed assigned quarterly sales goals and objectives.

Conduct presentations and/or staff in-services to community groups and professional staff.

Participate in health fairs, awareness days, etc.

Seek, develop, and participate in marketing opportunities in the community; join and attend area networking and chamber groups.

Assist in the development of goals and objectives for Platinum Seniors Care.

Establish and maintain client relationships and provide the highest quality client service.

Develop and present a weekly report to the Director of Operations

Develop and continually update a sales binder to explain strategies and programs relevant to PSC.

General Position Requirements

Demonstrate ability to build productive sales relationships with health care and senior care professionals.

Demonstrate ability to quickly build a level of trust with clients and, where applicable client families or other responsible parties, that results in a start of care in 70% of better of opportunities to meet with them.

Demonstrate ability to work independently/self-starter.

Presents well to clients and referral sources.

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of health care in home and institutional setting.

Comfortable with closing/asking for business.

Excellent telephone communication skills

Basic knowledge of office and typing skills

Good writing & creative skills

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and its various applications and possess the willingness to be trained in computer programs that are specific to the Platinum Seniors Care environment.

A basic understanding of medical terminology relating to the senior population and rehabilitative care.

Requires a valid driver’s license, reliable and presentable transportation, and appropriate motor vehicle insurance.

Highly capable of making effective presentations in group settings.
