Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist a team of microbiologists in a laboratory setting by helping to maintain a clean and organized working environment and preparing basic supplies and reagents. This position requires a high school education or equivalent. No professional job experience is required, and all necessary job training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware and equipment.

Receive and restock laboratory supplies.

Assist with routine cleaning of laboratory facilities and waste removal.

Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Assist with ordering laboratory supplies and equipment.

Keep organized and accurate records.

Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Majority of work is conducted in a laboratory environment and may include occasional exposure to cold temperatures

Work includes lifting (up to 30 lbs.) and frequent use of hands for handling objects, tools, and controls

May be exposed to airborne particles and chemicals used in fermentation production facilitiesSafety Requirements:

Mandated use of company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Adherence to all company safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
