As an Electrical Technology (Entry Level) candidate, you'll need to have a technical school certificate and the ability to obtain a Security Credential. We're looking for applicants who have a strong foundation in practical electrical theory, as well as experience with electrical cable, termination, installation, and troubleshooting methods.

Position: Electrical Technology (Entry Level):

Continental Tide is seeking motivated, energetic entry-level candidates interested in the dynamic environment of U.S. Navy Ship repair. Candidates must possess a technical school certificate, and the ability to secure a Security Credential. Desired applicants possess experience with practical electrical theory, electrical cable, termination, installation and troubleshooting methods. Successful candidates will become part of our team responsible for installation, troubleshooting, project execution and planning of U.S. military shipboard electrical, network and automated equipment and systems.

Continental Tide supports our forces around the globe. Work sites include: Virginia Beach, VA; San Diego, CA; Seattle, WA, Honolulu Hi; Yokosuka, Japan; Gaeta, Italy; Rota, Spain and many others. A willingness to travel, strong communication skills and the ability to work in teams is a must. Candidates would be required to relocate to Continental Tide's Virginia Beach, VA location.

Additional Physical requirements include:

Candidate must be able to walk, stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, stretch, reach, squat and twist

Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.

Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.

Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.

Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
