Privacy Deputy Lead

Position Overview

The Privacy Deputy Lead will work as a part of the Privacy Program team in support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Information Assurance project.

Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors

Responsible for assisting the Privacy Lead in all matters related to data privacy within the organization.

Responsible for monitoring data protection compliance and advocating for privacy best practices.

Collaborating with the Privacy Lead to update and/or implement privacy policies across the organization.

Reviewing privacy risk assessments to identify areas of risk and advising on appropriate measures to mitigate those risks.

Acting as a liaison between the organization and regulatory authorities and accrediting bodies in matters related to data privacy.

Providing recommendations to update employee privacy training and providing guidance on privacy matters.

Assisting with privacy reporting and accountability and keeping up to date with new privacy regulations and guidelines and recommending adjustments to policies and procedures as required.

Ensure that the organization’s data protection policies adhere to best practices while reducing risks and supporting overall business objectives.

Resource must be able to be on site 4 days of the week during transition with opportunity to change frequency depending on team need after transition.

Education and Minimum Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen

SECRET clearance

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

3 years of relevant experience
