Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a a few accounts payable professionals for several clients in the Greater Cleveland area. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 recent years of experience along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. These positions will pay between $20/hr. and $25/hr. and are direct hire.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying coding, approvals, and proper documentation.

Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding issues.

Prepare and process payments to vendors via check, ACH, or wire transfer, ensuring timely and accurate remittance.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system, including contact information, payment terms, and tax identification numbers.

Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.

Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner, resolving issues and ensuring vendor satisfaction.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounts payable function.

Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable processes.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.

Familiarity with GAAP and basic accounting principles.
