Responsibilities

Developing wind turbine components to fulfill design criteria such as functionality, durability, and cost efficiency.

Proficiency in conceptualizing mechanical components and producing detailed drawings.

Implementing design considerations for manufacturing, assembly, and servicing needs.

Leading technical discussions and evaluations with internal design teams, subcontractors, and solution providers.

Demonstrated ability to define precise tolerances using GPS/GD&T methodologies.

Expertise in designing various constructions including heavy fabrications, bolted, welded, forged, and casted structures.

Sound understanding of material selection, surface treatment, and their applications.

Familiarity with basic structural calculations and tolerance stack-up techniques.

Proficient in conducting FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Risk Assessments.

Thorough comprehension of transportation requirements relevant to wind turbine components.

Exposure to international safety and mechanical design standards.

Proficient in utilizing NX for both 3D and 2D design tasks.

Working knowledge of PLM (Teamcenter) and Engineering Change Management processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience and Abilities

Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical with Total experience: 8-15 years

Preferable domains: Wind turbine, Heavy Engineering, Power sector.

Designing, experience in conceptualization, phases of concept generation, GD&T, DFMEA, hand calculations

Understanding of technologies, structural designs, should have lead & co-ordinated design projects.

Should have experience in NX team center

Should have an overview of manufacturing, servicing and assembly issues.
